WOW! Where does the time go? No kidding... it literally just disappeared.
Although I haven't posted an entry in a while, those of you following my Facebook page and Twitter feed know I certainly haven't been sitting around collecting dust! LOL!! I have been diligently working on everything happening as 2013 moves towards a closure, but I am struggling to keep up. Certainly not complaining, at ALL, but boy those calendar days are flipping faster and faster....
Diane and I have been VERY busy working with our friends at Insulet on a monthly video series. The vlog tackles questions "focusing on relationship and family dynamics with diabetes" that are send to us by YOU, the members of the DOC. The videos are published on their Suite D OmniPod blog. Our first one was posted just a short while ago. Check it out here: http://suited.myomnipod.com/tony/ask-tony-diane-diabetes-support-system/.
Look for one video a month to follow for at least the next year. If you would like to ask us a question, just email us at questions@AskDianeandTony.com. We would LOVE to hear from y'all, and answer your questions in a segment!!
November is a very busy time of year for Diabetes Advocacy, with TONS of local, national, and world wide events happening. The most important one to me, is the UN recognized International Diabetes Foundation run World Diabetes Day on November 14th. A day dedicated to worldwide awareness and advocacy of diabetes. There are TONS of ways to get involved, at every possible level. Check out the IDF.org and join their ThunderClap campaign and follow their World Diabetes Day Twitter feed at @WDD.
Turn it Blue!!
Also coming up next week is The Blue Heel Society's 2nd birthday! On the eve of WDD 2011 BHS was launched, and it continues to be huge success. It's an easy way to advocate for Diabates awareness, as everyone speak's shoe. :)
If you get a quick minute head over to http://www.blueheelsociety.org, say hi, and send them a pic of your favorite blue shoes, boots, or sneakers!
